Email MichaelGeneral Manager
Leading the team at SweetCars is Michael Barney. Before his role as General Manager, Michael held various other positions here at SweetCars including Detail Specialist, Sales Consultant, Sales Manager and Operations Manager. Michael is a Fort Wayne native and graduated from Homestead High School in 2010 and attended Indiana University-Fort Wayne where he earned a degree in Business Management.
Michael is a lifelong car fanatic with a particular passion for BMW Isettas. Outside of the office, you will find he and his wife Natalie enjoying automotive-related events and spending time on the area lakes with their dog, Kasey.

Larry had a very successful career working for one of the top manufacturing companies in the world for more than 35 years. Larry understands the importance of building long-term relationships, along with providing unparalleled customer service to each and every client.
As with everyone else here at SweetCars, he is a lifelong car guy, having painted his first car at age 14 in his hometown of St. Henry, Ohio. Over the years, he has restored and owned many classics, including his pride and joy, his black 1967 Corvette air-conditioned coupe. Larry’s other interests include woodworking, fishing, and bowling, and he enjoys spending time with his family.

Jim was born in the Motor City and his entire family worked at different levels within the Big 3, so he naturally was attracted to a career in the automotive business. Jim attended Eastern Michigan University and upon graduation, moved to Fort Wayne to begin a 20-year sales career in the insurance industry. As the newest member of the SweetCars sales team that experience has made the transition seamless.

Addison is a Fort Wayne native who recently graduated from Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana, where he was a co-captain of the football team and heavily involved in student activities. Addison’s passion for cars began as a child – he loved games like Need for Speed and movies like the Fast and Furious franchise. Addison’s other interests include traveling the world, fishing, going to concerts and walking with his dog.
While in college Addison worked at SweetCars as a porter and upon graduating he moved into the sales position. His passion for cars has translated into practical knowledge for him to succeed in his role at SweetCars.

Paul, a Northeast Ohio native, started his automotive career sweeping floors at a race engine machine shop. After serving in the U.S. Army, a position for a national chain as service manager brought him to Indiana. He has over 35 years experience as a auto technician and is an A.S.E. (Automotive Service Excellence) certified Master Auto Technician. Paul has been married 36 years and has one son. He’s an avid motor sports fan and participant, having built several race cars and even set 8 national drag racing records!

Michael has been an automotive technician in the Fort Wayne area most of his adult working life, boasting more than 26 years of experience. He was influenced at an early age by his two older brothers who built street rods and muscle cars. He is an underbody specialist with a proven ability to deliver high-quality work and maintain excellent customer satisfaction. Having a strong passion for collector cars and being a perfectionist at heart makes him a perfect fit for Sweet Cars.

Steve was born and raised in Fort Wayne, graduating from North Side High School with Technical Honors. Steve’s passion for automotive repair was inspired by helping his father restore his 1951 Ford F1 truck and he’s now an A.S.E. Certified automotive technician. Steve is married and enjoys being active in the car community, restoring and modifying project vehicles in his spare time.

Hailing from Ohio, Jared joined our detailing department with much enthusiasm after attending numerous detailing workshops at SweetCars. Jared is a factory trained XPEL paint protection film installer, is a certified detailer by SONAX USA., and is a certified installer for Ceramic Pro. Jared has also been featured in the television show Competition Ready on the Velocity Channel.
Jared has a passion for exotic and tuner cars and is active in several local car groups, including being the President of the local Fort Wayne Mitsubishi Group Club Diamond Star since 2007. An alumni of Ohio State University, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business. He also enjoys playing guitar, singing in his band, and playing ice hockey.

Guy is from Ossian, Indiana and is a graduate from Norwell High School. He’s a huge fan of BMW and an active member in the local tuner community. Guy enjoys spending time working on his personal tuner projects when he’s not out at events putting his drifting skills to the test. As a Sonax USA certified detailer and Ceramic Pro certified installer, Guy is meticulous in his detailing abilities. In addition to his love for cars, Guy is an avid guitar player and enjoys writing his own music.

Brady is a Fort Wayne native and attended college at Liberty University in Virginia. While in Virginia he began his automotive career working in an import tuner shop. He’s a former motorcross racer, is active in the local tuner car community, and has a love for vehicles like the GT-R, R34 Skyline, and Nissan 240SX. Since joining SweetCars Brady has continued to hone his detailing skills, has become a certified Ceramic Pro installer and really enjoys the transformation of the paint correction process.
When it comes to superb customer service, look no further than Sheri, our concierge. She brings over 30 years of customer service experience. Sheri’s love and interest in cars started at a very young age, hanging out with her father at his body shop where he built dune buggies. Growing up, she helped her father work on the cars and gained an appreciation and desire to extend that to both her children. Sheri enjoys making people smile and has a dedication to the people she serves.
Ben has been a member of the Sweetwater family for more than 10 years having also worked in the Studios. He’s a graduate of Indiana University where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Ben enjoys spending time with his daughter, Riley, coaching 6th grade girls basketball, and PA announcing for local sporting events.
