Car show season is in full swing! We recently attended two of the best ones in the area. Rolling into Roanoke, which is hosted on the streets of beautiful downtown Roanoke, and the Rock the Fort show, in support of Crime Stoppers, which was hosted in the park area just to the east of our dealership! Both were held on Saturday, July 28, and enjoyed perfect car show weather, sunny and in the high 70s!
Attending these shows got me thinking about how active the car community in our area really is. We have so much going on in our area, and it certainly isn’t limited to just car shows. There are tons of area clubs, such as the CIR PCA (Central Indiana Region Porsche Club of America), Fort Wayne Motoring MINIs, and the Old Fort VW Club, just to name a few. Many local clubs host their own events, such as driving tours and meals, and attend regional events.
If shows or clubs aren’t your thing, maybe it’s time to push your car’s limits at a track event? The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum just happens to have an open track day event coming up September 14–16 at GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, Michigan, called the Driving Experience. Click here to check out their website here for more information on that event.
And if you are looking for car events that will help you learn more about how to properly care for your vehicle, SweetCars is the place to be! Coming up on September 8–15, we will be holding a new event called Detail Days. We will start with a kickoff day on Saturday the 8th filled with informative detailing clinics on various car-care topics. Through the entire following week, we will continue with great deals on detailing products and our nationally recognized detailing services. Stay tuned for more information on this great event!
So, it’s a great time to get involved! It doesn’t matter what kind of car you drive or what type of event you prefer — there is something going on for everyone! We still have a couple of good driving months left in the year. Let’s make the most of them!
Until next time, happy motoring!
